Chris Jones’ Cryptic Tweet Has Chiefs Fans Excited About New Contract

Chris Jones is the marquee free agent of this 2024 class. Both sides appear optimistic about getting a deal done, with a record-setting salary cap and a unique chance for the Chiefs to become the first team in NFL history to win three consecutive Super Bowls.

Dòng tweet mới nhất của Chris Jones khiến Vương quốc Chiefs phấn khích

The defining defensive player of this era of Chiefs football is no stranger to cryptic tweets and he’s got the Kingdom buzzing with excitement after his latest.

What does it mean? Unclear. It certainly doesn’t seem like a bad indication though!

Chris Jones Cryptically Tweets About Kansas City Chiefs

This image comes from the celebrations immediately after the Super Bowl win over the 49ers, with Andy Reid embracing Jones on the ground after a contentious start to the season.

It appears that Jones was actively on a phone call for an hour and that’s the background image either on his phone or for a contact. Jones loves Kansas City and declared at the parade he wasn’t going anywhere, though unfortunately public declarations while inebriated aren’t contractually binding.

Nonetheless, it’s difficult to imagine this defense without Jones manning the defensive line. He has 26 combined sacks over the last two years with countless huge plays in the playoffs, notably preventing Josh Allen from completing an open TD pass in the Divisional Round and hounding Brock Purdy all night in the Super Bowl.

We’ll keep you updated on any progress on a potential extension, though Jones’ latest cryptic tweet certainly seems like a step in the right direction.

The Chiefs are +650 to win the Super Bowl over at FanDuel Sportsbook, trailing the 49ers for the best odds. If Kansas City keeps Jones around, that number will be an incredible value, so it may be wise to lock it in now.

Jones is set for a payday and you can be too with FanDuel Sportsbook’s $150 bonus for any $5 winning bet today! Chiefs fans who bet $5 or more (with a $10 deposit) on any game in any sport will be credited an additional $150 in bonus bets if the wager wins. Sign up for FanDuel now!
