Cowboys Favored To Sign Superstar Running Back In Massive Free Agency Move

The Dallas Cowboys have had one of the league’s top offenses for the last few seasons, especially in the passing game. However, even with a plethora of weapons for quarterback Dak Prescott, the rushing attack is an area of concern for the team this offseason as running back Tony Pollard is set to hit the open market. With many great backs testing free agency this offseason, one of them stands out the most to sign with Dallas, and it would flip the NFL world upside down if it goes through.

Dallas Cowboys Favored To Sign Superstar Running Back In Massive Free Agency Move

Dallas Cowboys Favorite To Land Star Running Back

The Cowboys are the favorites to land superstar running back Saquon Barkley this offseason to fill the void in their rushing attack. Barkley is arguably the best available option on the open market for the position, which could give Dallas’ offense even more of a boost for the upcoming season. Many analysts think that the team would sign Barkley to further plunder their divisional rivals, the New York Giants, who are letting the star running back test the open market.

The Cowboys have one of the best offensive lines in the league, which makes this scenario even more intriguing. Barkley could give the Cowboys the explosiveness and power in the rushing attack they have needed since Ezekiel Elliott left the team. The star running back has expressed that he would like to play for a team that has a great quarterback, which has led to the speculation that Dallas could sign him this offseason to pair up with Prescott.

Saquon Barkley Career

Since entering the NFL in 2018, Barkley has amounted to 5,211 rushing yards on 1,202 attempts and 35 touchdowns. He has been one of if not the best rushers in the league since being drafted despite playing for the Giants, who have struggled in every other category since Barkley joined the team. It looks like the superstar has had enough with New York, and now will be looking to go to a team that can win more games.

Will Barkley Sign With Dallas?

Do you think that Barkley will sign with the Cowboys this offseason, or will he go to another team like the Los Angeles Chargers or the Philadelphia Eagles, who have also expressed interest in signing the star running back?
