Travis Kelce might be testing out a post-NFL career this offseason

The Chiefs star could be in line to become even more famous.

Travis Kelce has already had one roller coaster of an NFL career. Not only is he a surefire, first-ballot Hall of Famer at his position, possibly even the G.O.A.T. of all tight ends depending on who you talk to, but he’s also made a name for himself in television through his reality dating show “Catching Kelce” as well as his time spent hosting Saturday Night Live last season.

Kelce and his brother Jason have done well to become so well known through their years on the gridiron but with retirement looming for the superstar tight end there seems to be a possible retirement plan that includes hosting one of America’s favorite game shows.

According to Variety the Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end has been in discussions to be the host of a rebooted version of “Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?” which would air on Amazon Prime Video.

Last year the Chiefs’ tight end joined a very short list of celebrities to host Saturday Night Live, which includes names like OJ Simpson, the late Bill Russell and John Madden, and even LeBron James. Now, it appears that Kelce could join an even shorter list of former-athletes-turned-game-show-host alongside New York Giants legend Michael Strahan.

The new version of the game show would apparently rely on celebrity guests rather than children, and would be in the hands of Amazon instead of the longtime broadcasting network for the show–Fox–which premeired the show back in 2007 before moving to syndication.

“Blue Collar” comedian Jeff Foxworthy originally hosted the show before handing it off to John Cena for a special edition of the show on Paramount’s Nickelodeon.

It appears that Kelce could have his retirement plan locked up if the rumors are true, and it could even be filmed during the offseason if he were to play for longer than just this upcoming season.
